Top 5 Reasons I knew I wanted to marry Kyle!

Well, there are many things that contributed to me knowing that I wanted to marry Kyle, but I will list what I consider my top 5. I made a list back in the 8th grade of what I felt was important in choosing my future husband. I still have it and have compared it to what I have found in Kyle and it is amazing how it matches perfectly. Isn't it funny how God works? He knew before I was born that I would be marrying Kyle and I am so thankful that even in the 8th grade he was preparing my heart for him.

5. The way he makes me laugh. If you know me at all I do laugh at anything and everything, but I knew that being able to laugh together is something that is very important to me. He may be laughing at me most the time because I said something pretty dumb, but it still counts. I'm so thankful that he is funny because life would be pretty boring if not.

4. His leadership. His ability to step into any situation and lead with confidence always blows my mind. He is never afraid to jump into a new setting or group and be able to take it on with ease. There have been many situations with work, school, church, and our relationship that has brought this characteristic out in him and I couldn't be more proud. I know the Lord has great things in store for him regarding his leadership!

3. The way he treats his family. This is soooo important to me because I am so close with my family. I knew that I wanted my future husband to have a great relationship with both his mom and dad. It says a lot about someone if they are close to their parents and on multiple occasions Kyle has called them his best friends. Even though they live 16 hours away (give or take) they are still just as close if they were to live in the same city. I couldn't ask for a better family to marry into!

2. The way he is goal-oriented. It is exciting to me that he has drive and is happy about always moving forward in life. I am the type of person that I don't want to be doing the same thing every day so to know that he is the same way and has goals in life to accomplish is exciting to me!

1. His relationship with Christ. Even though these aren't in any particular order this one is and always will be #1. In order for any relationship to succeed we must always keep Christ in the center of it. I am glad that praying together, doing devotions together, going to church together, worshiping together, and discussing God's Word together is just as important to him as it is to me.
