His name is Kyle Chapman and he wears a size 8 hat. He has been my best friend since about my sophomore year in high school.
Some things you may or may not know about Kyle........
1) He was one of the top kids in his girl scout troop (not a typo, ask him sometime) when he was a kid, only beaten out by his sister.
2) Sometime between the time he was 5 and the time I met him around age 16 he developed and dropped a thick southern drawl......along with some solid cowboy boots.
3) He loves Micheal Jordan almost as much as I do.
4) He was the co-owner of the dream team his freshman year in college.......a litter of hamsters that we owned that we named after individuals on the 1992 dream team.
5) Goes on some of the weirdest eating binges I have ever seen. When I say binge I don't mean tons at once, I mean go through a box of 'Nilla Wafers and four bottles of lemon Propel a day for two straight months.
6) He was Mr. GQ in high school.
On a bit of a more serious note.....
I feel like I lived with his family for a couple of years at the end of high school and beginning of college. After my freshman year I convinced him to come to OSU for his one year stint....he now resides in Manhattan, KS at K-State and will be done with his undergrad (a semester early) in December. He is one of the only people I can be around for weeks at a time and not get frustrated. He had a small part in putting Lauren and I together, and was for it from day 1. We talk on the phone more than two 20 something males should, but I couldn't imagine it any other way!
So, we want to wish him happy birthday, the big 22!
......and welcome him to our bridal party.
Pretty sure yall owned the dream team freshman year of COLLEGE not high school because I was able to witness that terrible decision and I don't exactly remember what happened to the dream team... didn't yall set them free??
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Elizabeth I changed it! :) I hated those hamsters. They had to take them back to the store because the fine for having pets in the dorm was $1500 or something like that...ha.
ReplyDeleteVery well put. Oh, and I prefer to call it "the scouts."
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wear a 7 3/4 hat, and love Michael Jordan more than you ever will Fisher. I really appreciate the post and birthday wishes, but let's just get our facts straight.
ReplyDeleteChapman, it is your first comment!!! Yay! I'm so happy. I hope your day was great and yeah Fisher get your facts straight!
