To be in Dallas
This weekend was about the first weekend that Lauren and I have been able to spend time with just each other and no distractions. Even when we are in Stillwater there is always some kind of game or commitment.....and there are always other people around! Don't get me wrong, we love everybody we are around (kind of), but it was absolutely wonderful getting to hang out just the two of us.
Lauren got in late Friday, so on Saturday we were planning to sit around all day, eat and watch football. We headed up to the Wal Mart right next to the new Cowboy Stadium (absolutely crazy building) mainly because Lauren wanted to see the building up close and we wanted to check out the atmosphere of the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game that was going to be played there later that day. As we were walking around we both decided we wanted to try and get tickets to the game. Although scalping lead to some lofty prices, we found some decent tickets on Craig's List and got them.
The game was a blast. Don't worry.....we still sat around and watched football the rest of the day. On Sunday we were able to drive around the Dallas area a little bit and look at future places (mainly areas) to live. It gave us some insight on what we want and what we can afford.
Dallas had to break some sort of record for large special events happening over a weekend. Other than the game we went to there were two Ranger's playoff games, a Dallas Cowboys game, Texas Tech vs. Baylor, SMU game, TCU game, and Carrie Underwood concert amount many other things I am sure I am leaving out. It is fun being in a place where so much is happening, and I think we both look forward to living here full time.

It was great seeing you two at the game! I guess it's no secret what you're getting for Christmas!
