I first got to know Jarrett when we were in high school on the basketball team. He was a year older than me, but I quickly adapted into his group of friends. We hung out on weekends, played lots of poker, and even went to a prom or two.
After high school Jarrett went to play basketball for Butler, which was great because he was close to home and we still hung out a lot. After his two years there he moved on to Winfield, KS to play at Southwestern. This put him about an hour and a half from Stillwater, so we met half way frequently.
Now Jarrett is teaching P.E. and coaching basketball, all while married to his recent wife Julia!

At least you didn't say 'most recent wife'. That would indicate that Julia was not his first wife!! She IS his first wife, isn't she???
ReplyDeleteJarrett used to give you rides too when you couldn't drive. I was very suspicious at first but after his mother reassured me that he was a good driver - I had no problem!!!
