Today's category is a broad one, but one that has been on my mind since yesterday when the cold front (and lots of rain) rode into Dallas causing my head to feel like it about to burst. The subject of todays list is things I look forward to in the upcoming months (holiday season).
5. Basketball Season. I can not wait for ESPN to kick off the season with 24 hours of basketball, and then have something to watch every single night. I just wish they would get the old gang back together on Big Mondays in the Big 12 and toss Bobby Knight and Musburger to the curb.
4. Weather. I know my family in Columbus won't agree with this one, but I enjoy the cold weather after months of 100+ days of sweating through a couple of shirts a day, even with the A/C. This week is hasn't hardly stopped raining which is fantastic.
3. Breaks. Now that I am in the "real world" I no longer get 3 week Christmas breaks or extended holidays. In fact, the only reason I get Christmas Eve off this year is because Christmas falls on a Saturday. I am however looking forward to taking a bit of vacation over both Thanksgiving and Christmas. My family will be in the Midwest for Thanksgiving and Lauren and I will head north for Christmas and New Years!
2. Bowl Season. This year more than any I am excited about the college football bowl season. OSU has a chance to go somewhere awesome, and I am excited to see it all play out. I will also be in Columbus when the bulk of the games are played this year, for the first time in a long time.
1. Getting to do all of these things with Lauren. It seems that it has been harder than normal recently to stay content with this long distance stuff. I am excited to be able to see her for longer amounts of time, and hang out with no agenda!
Happy Holidays (although I will say it is probably too early for Christmas music and trees....Cromley girls)
It is never too early for Christmas! Haven't you heard of Christmas in July??
