Brad Jr.

To introduce the last, but certainly not least, of my groomsmen.....meet Brad.

Brad and I met our freshman year of college through a mutual friend.  We had so much in common the first couple of years we became roommates for the last couple years of school.  I am pretty sure the deep roots of our friendship run through sports.  He is one of the biggest sports fanatics I know.  Most nights when we lived together, not matter how busy either of us were, we would end up watching SportsCenter before we turned in for the night.

Brad is most known for his College Gameday sign he made two years ago (tune into ESPN at 9 am on Saturday to see Brad defend his championship).

Brad finished at OSU last May and landed a job in Dallas.  Unfortunately, we live very far apart in this huge city, but manage to see each other often.

Oh....and he is married to Elizabeth, one of Laurens bridesmaids and great friends!  We went to Chicago with the two of them in my senior year and had a blast.  They have been great friends and I am excited they will be in Dallas with Lauren and I!

Mr. Tyler

The next groomsmen I want to introduce is younger brother to my last one, one of the greatest fantasy football league manager of all time, holds the record for proms attended at Andover High School (7), and the number 1 seed in the Andover Central P.E. pickle ball tournament coming up next week.

I first got to know Jarrett when we were in high school on the basketball team.  He was a year older than me, but I quickly adapted into his group of friends.  We hung out on weekends, played lots of poker, and even went to a prom or two.

After high school Jarrett went to play basketball for Butler, which was great because he was close to home and we still hung out a lot.  After his two years there he moved on to Winfield, KS to play at Southwestern.  This put him about an hour and a half from Stillwater, so we met half way frequently.

Now Jarrett is teaching P.E. and coaching basketball, all while married to his recent wife Julia!

Meet Janey!

Jane is one of my best friends and also one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I met her my freshman year at Oklahoma State and we have continued to grow our friendship over the years. This year we decided to be roomies along with Roxy (her dog) and it has been great. Even though our schedules are usually opposite it is always fun to sit on our lovely futon at night and catch up on our days.

Our schedules usually consist of this these days...
8:00 am. Good morning, see ya later on! Have a good day at class, work, etc. Usually at this point I'm still waking up and am not the prettiest/friendliest in the morning, but she understands.
5:00 pm. We usually get home around this time and usually the first thing we do is head to the kitchen and fix our dinner. :) We love food!
6:00 pm. Bath/shower time.
6:30 pm. PJ's on.
6:45 pm. Sit on the futon, try and study, watch TV, catch up on everything we missed in each others lives that day, day dream about our future jobs, Jane gives me nutrition lessons because I understand nothing about it....
8:00 pm. Whew what a day! We are ready for bed.

Haha ok that isn't completely true, but on a lot of the days that is what we want to do.

Jane, I am so excited you get to share such a special day with Kyle and I. You are an amazing friend and I am so thankful for you. I love you so much...Go Pokes. :)

Austen. Enough Said

As I keep moving down the list I want to introduce Austen Tyler as my next grooms man.

Austen and I went to the same high school, but our friendship really peaked right after I graduated.  He is a few years older than me, so we didn't cross paths too much.  The summer after my senior year we hung out about every day.  I suppose you could also attribute our friendship to the fact that we seem to be the grounded (sane) ones in our group of friends.

Austen just finished school at Texas A&M (my second favorite Big 12 school because of Austen) and is now in Houston with his awesome wife, Carmen (pictured above....not the one with the insanely short, blond hair ((Lauren what were you thinking?)))  Both Austen and Carmen are engineers down south.

Drew William Fisher III

So, to start from the top (although I already got out of order with Kyle) with Best Man #2.  Drew has been my brother his whole life.  He is at THE Ohio University, the Bobcats, in Athens, Ohio majoring in Business.

Drew is the definition of a wild card.  For the most part I am going to let your imagination run wild (frankly because I can’t do this point justice) with the wild card aspect of Drew.  One story that I feel summarized Drew is when he ran away when we were around 10.  Somehow our neighbor babysitter ticked him off so he ran away…..his destination was the car across the street.  Not the cab of the vehicle….underneath.  We watched him crawl underneath and sit there for a few hours before we went and got him.  I really think this is what you need to know about Drew.  He has had many a wooden spoons broken across his butt and senior pictures embracing his Kansas roots (?????) in overalls, a straw hat, and nothing else.

Drew has really grown up since the days of walking door to door asking neighbors to donate to the “Trampoline for Drew Fund”….he probably got most of the way there until my parents caught him.

I don’t know if you have figured it out yet, but my introduction posts are not going to be quite as warm as Lauren’s…..but much funnier.  I am assuming these people know the warm, fuzzy stuff.

Anyway, I am pretty fired up to have Drew as my best man.

Future sister-in-law!

Meet my future sister-in-law, Holly! I have heard so many horror stories of people not getting along with their sister-in-laws or having a crazy brother-in-law that makes terrible jokes or having a nephew or niece that drives them nuts, but so far I haven't had to experience any of that with the Fisher's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)

Anytime Holly and I are around each other we laugh so much. It's either because I said something not intelligent, us kids messing with Nancy (never my idea), or Kyle and Drew doing something ridiculous. Whatever the situation we bring a lot of laughter!

Cleopatra!

Meet my sister Chloe...also know as Clee, Chlo, Cleo, and Cleopatra! Chloe is eleven years old and one of my absolute favorite people to be around. She keeps me laughing constantly and is such a joy! I am so thankful that the Lord gave her to our family because I couldn't imagine life without her.
Even though we don't get to see each other all the time anymore I love calling and texting her everyday to see how her day was or to just see what she is up to. I have to make sure all the boys are staying away from her! :)

Some of the things I enjoy doing most with Clee include:
-Shopping. They have way cuter clothes for her than when I was her age.
-Playing with her and Kaylee (her best friend). Those girls are crazy, but I love every time I get to hang out with them.
-Singing Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana tunes together at the top of our lungs. Usually it is more me than her...
-Pestering her...Seriously, she is so fun to mess with and I know how to annoy her, but trust me she stands her ground and I back down pretty quick!

Chloe, I am so excited to have you a part of my big day! You are the best little sister anyone could ever ask for! I love you so much!

Birthday Boy & Best Man (#3)

Lauren and I have had the thought of "unveiling" our bridal party via blog for a while but haven't done anything about it until now. The reason we decided to start was specifically because of this post. I am starting a little out of order with Best Man #3 (I am Best Man #1, because it is my wedding so why shouldn't I get to be the best man......Best Man #2 to be revealed soon). The reason I am going out of order is it happens to be Best Man #3's birthday today, so we thought we would do a double meaningful post for this guy.

His name is Kyle Chapman and he wears a size 8 hat. He has been my best friend since about my sophomore year in high school.

Some things you may or may not know about Kyle........

1) He was one of the top kids in his girl scout troop (not a typo, ask him sometime) when he was a kid, only beaten out by his sister.
2) Sometime between the time he was 5 and the time I met him around age 16 he developed and dropped a thick southern drawl......along with some solid cowboy boots.
3) He loves Micheal Jordan almost as much as I do.
4) He was the co-owner of the dream team his freshman year in college.......a litter of hamsters that we owned that we named after individuals on the 1992 dream team.
5) Goes on some of the weirdest eating binges I have ever seen. When I say binge I don't mean tons at once, I mean go through a box of 'Nilla Wafers and four bottles of lemon Propel a day for two straight months.
6) He was Mr. GQ in high school.

On a bit of a more serious note.....

I feel like I lived with his family for a couple of years at the end of high school and beginning of college. After my freshman year I convinced him to come to OSU for his one year stint....he now resides in Manhattan, KS at K-State and will be done with his undergrad (a semester early) in December. He is one of the only people I can be around for weeks at a time and not get frustrated. He had a small part in putting Lauren and I together, and was for it from day 1. We talk on the phone more than two 20 something males should, but I couldn't imagine it any other way!

So, we want to wish him happy birthday, the big 22!

......and welcome him to our bridal party.

Meet my Matron of Honor!

Kyle and I wanted to take these next several days to introduce our bridal party. Don't worry we will still have Top 5 Wednesday! I know all of you were probably worried....:)

My Matron of Honor is my sister Kelli. She is not only my sister, but truly one of my best friends. We have always been super close and I enjoy getting to spend any time I can with her. I have always looked up to her and especially now that she has kids because she is a great mom. Even though growing up we fought over clothes, who rode shotgun, if I wore her shoes with my sweaty feet, the remote, and probably wanted to pull each others hair out multiple times, we have become great friends and I am so excited to have her stand by my side on my big day! I love you so much, Kelli!
