Our First Blog

Lauren and I decided that we should write a blog to document our lives, both before and after marriage (our wedding is on June 18, 2011).  I have a feeling it will really help our communication (which can always use help when you live four hours away) and also provide laughs for others.
The first concern we are seeing is that neither of us are particularly creative.  This should be evident by our blog title.  "Soon to be Fisher's" is definitely just a place holder until we can find something semi-clever.  Lauren is embarrassed that we even have this ugly looking blog with a stupid title on the internet where millions can look at it.  So, on this note please send us any suggestions.

As for our blogging........we saw this idea on a different blog, which apparently was from the movie Julie & Julia which I have never seen).  They write about lots of daily things as well as what Christ is doing in their lives and relationship.  At this point we are still trying to come up with a direction for our blog.  We are thinking about creating some kind of rule, like we must have 5 posts a week.  Not every one has to be life changing, but I think this will be good practice.

Another main purpose of this blog is to be able to keep in constant conversation about our faith.  That is one thing that Lauren and I can use improvement on.  For me it helps to get my thoughts out on paper so I can organize them.  I am sure some of my writing will feel just like rambling, but hopefully somewhere i can tie it together.

I do promise that we won't bore anybody with mundane day to day activities or have everybody send us pictures of their living rooms so we can compare them all (mainly because all of our friends live in about 600 sq ft apartments, and it would just be sad).

Again, we no idea where this is going to take us, but for now we are excited to start the journey.
