As you can see from previous posts, football is a very big deal in Kyle's and my relationship. I may not know all of the lingo or all of the players names on different teams, but I can confidently say that I do a pretty good job for a girl of knowing what I need to know. Here are a few of them:
1. There will be football scores on Kyle's phone at all times when there is any game on at any time. If someone needs a score he will have in less than 5 seconds (impressive, I know).
2. If OU is playing anyone and I MEAN ANYONE, we always cheer against them no matter what the situation is.
3. No other TV shows exists on Saturday and Sunday.
4. Flipping back and forth between games happens at least every 4 minutes.
5. If OU is playing anyone and I MEAN ANYONE, we always cheer against them no matter what the situation is.
6. If an Oklahoma State game is DVR'd it must be watched at least once after we have already attended the game or watched it live on TV.
7. The radio must be tuned up after an OSU game in order to catch the post game press conference with Coach Gundy.
8. If we are ever in Chicago (or any other city) when an OSU game comes on, we will walk however long it takes to find a sports bar that has the game on. (Elizabeth, remember this??)
9. If OU is playing anyone and I MEAN ANYONE, we always cheer against them no matter what the situation is.
10. We will be Oklahoma State fans when they are terrible or when they are great! GO POKES!
I'm sure many other women can relate, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love Kyle and I love the Cowboys and if that means I have to follow this list....so be it!
Ha ha this is funny!
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious that you understand the most important aspects of being an OSU football fan.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it but Brad follows all of these rules as well, but even worse he video tapes some of the plays himself and we get to watch that over and over again too. I love my Cowboys but...sometimes it is a little drastic.
ReplyDeleteOh and the OSU game in Chicago was ridiculous.
You're going to be a GREAT wife Lauren! By the way, can Kyle breakdown that victory formation fumble that caused a HUGE sucking sound in Stillwater on Saturday?? That was ALMOST the bonehead play of the century (and it's only 2010)...LOL...You were raised a HOG fan so being a POKE fan will be a similar experience--frustrating....Dad
