Today is a rather intriguing category......top 5 things you may not know about Lauren.
5) If you hadn't heard that Lauren had a blankie this would definitely hit the list, but since I think everybody knows......I will have to start with her biggest and only insecurity. Lauren's hair smells like goat. Not really, of course, but I always think it is one of the funny things that my (soon to be) sister-in-law & brother-in-law (Lane and Kelli) used to tease her about when she was a kid, and I think she still is a bit self conscious.
4) Lauren has a larger aptitude for sports than any other girl I have met. Now, she may not be a sports nut (she isn't skipping shopping or a movie to watch teams that don't pertain to her), but she understands and learns about sports quite easily. She has no problem sitting down and watching some game with me, and the other night she actually called me up to tell me that there was a game going into OT that she knew I would want to watch.
3) This one is probably why #4 is true, but she is great at sports too! Lauren played basketball on her varsity basketball team when she was in middle school. (*Disclaimer* she graduated with about 7 people) but she was still a middle schooler playing with big, mean high school girls (the Christian Schooled girls are the meanest). She has won multiple awards, such as all state both volleyball and basketball.
2) Sticking with the sports theme, Lauren hates to lose (which is the reason for #3). I think I have told the story before, but every time we go play tennis (I am no pro, but I have been playing a few years longer than her) she gets so mad and wants to quit. Then she beats me a few points in a row and she gets mad because I let her beat me (which I never do).
1) Lauren's dream job is to be personal assistant for someone famous (so if you know anybody send them our way). I always thought this was very intriguing. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this happened one day. With her event planning major and her organizational and people skills she would be great.
Just a correction....Lane was not involved in making fun of my goat hair. Only Kelli who I still get mad at when she or anyone else for that matter bring it up. I have Herbal Essences smelling hair I swear!
ReplyDeleteLauren, I have a great idea! We'll fly out to California, go see Ellen's show, some person who works for Ellen will generously give us backstage passes, we'll become best friends with her, she'll relocate her show to Dallas, and you'll become her assistant!
ReplyDeleteIt could happen.
Meghan-I'm totally down with that plan! It will be great and I will owe it all to you...:) Hope to see you soon!
ReplyDeleteHeeney, I hope you're not planning on flying for free. I've told you that I'm choosing who I list based on Christmas gifts.
ReplyDeleteLauren, I can't believe that I didn't know the "goat hair" thing. That is so funny, and will be placed in my arsenal of jokes.
Chapman....NO!! I was keeping it a secret from you for a reason. Now that you know I will be sure to wash my hair right before I see you so all you smell is shower fresh and no leaking goat smells.
